If he blocks the doorway of his house and tells the cops they can’t come in, then they can’t. Period. So says the Supreme Court. That’s the good news. The bad news is, the man in question was a cocaine user, and he’s now free to use or abuse as he wishes. So what are the lessons here? Our rights are sacred. The law is an ass. Bad people get good breaks. Privacy means never having to say you’re sorry. Morality means saying “sorry” ten times before breakfast.
Pick your poison.
